Shelving Units

Husky Black 4-Tier Heavy Duty Industrial Welded Steel Garage Shelving Unit is the only shelving system you’ll need. Assembly is a breeze and it requires no tools. I literally put this thing together in less than 30 minutes. The 24 inch deep shelves are all adjustable to support a variety of things. This heavy-duty shelving rack supports up to 2500 lbs. per shelf. Plus, it’s backed by Husky’s lifetime warranty. I needed space to store things more efficiently and these shelves allowed me to remove everything that was just sitting on the floor of my garage. These shelves come in black and red.

Totes

Once you have the shelves set up you’ll need to organize your things by category. The best way to achieve this is with various storage totes.

Latch and Stack Tote

These heavy-duty stackable storage totes by Husky are designed to handle any need from the house to the job site. They come in 5, 15, 25, 35, and 45-gallon sizes. I love them because I can stack them atop each other and recycled polypropylene and a reinforced lid.

The 15 gallon totes hold up to 100 lbs and are stackable up to 400. The handles can also withstand at least 300 lbs. of pressure.

The 45 gallon totes are even more impressive holding up to 400 lbs and are stackable at 900 lbs. The handles on the 45 gallon totes can withstand 680lbs of pressure. These containers are no joke.

Professional Duty Waterproof Storage Container

Now let’s look at the Professional Duty Waterproof Storage Containers with Hinged Lid. These come in both black and red. The containers are both waterproof and dustproof. It’s built to withstand very tough conditions.

I love that the lid is seethrough and I know what I’m packing away for easy access. The lids are high-impact resistant polycarbonate and the strongest available. You can also stack these containers. The 20-gallon container can hold up to 500lbs., while the 12 gallon can store up to 200lbs.

Love Husky products, and so happy to see Home Depot supporting DIYers like you! I’m especially a big fan of the Husky rolling tool chests. They provide quick, quality storage for the workshop and they look fantastic! (I have the navy blue)
    Keep up the great work!!

I would love to win your $500 E Gift Card giveaway, especially now that I have gone to the Home Depot’s website and checked out the different Husky products available. This would help me get my workshop/storage building organized. The same 77″ wide X 78″ tall X 24″ deep shelving unit that you show would be perfect to fit at one end of my 8’x8′ shop – I would get it in red because that’s my color. This way I could store the Latch and Store Totes with easy access to all of them – I would not have to move a stack of totes one by one to get to the one on the bottom! $500 would buy the shelving unit and half-a-dozen totes of various capacities. I could get the 35-gallon ones for the lowest shelf, and 25 or 15-gallon ones for the upper shelves so I don’t overfill them and find myself unable to remove them for access, LOL.

I would love to win the $500 towards Husky’s products! We are about to renovate our basement, and the shelving units will be a HUGE upgrade from the 1960’s wooden sh lives currently in place. Then the stackable storage bins for small tools like clamps and painting supplies. Then the storage containers to be able to organize the stuff that we have neglected to really sort and store and are taking up room in our workshop! This giftcard would make a huge impact in organizing our workshop in the basement before we organize!

So, we moved on pur new home 2 years ago come April and the garage is still on “the list”. We invision having the coolest garage on the block- organized, painted, and the envy of our neighbors. I love the Husky products since they come in a variety of sizes and seem so durable. Not only are we storing tools but sports equipment for our youth program. I’m sure the large totes can hold ALL the balls so I’m not chasing them when we open the garage!

  6. I was so excited to see your post. I had been pondering how I would organize my garage. Then, I saw the title of your email. I recently moved to another city after being assigned to a church that came with a parsonage. YAY! The amazing thing is that I have less space in my new dwelling (a three-bedroom home) than I had in my two-bedroom apartment. While I have a basement, most of that is being used to store the furniture from the parsonage.
I have purged quite a few items before the move but, I am waiting for warmer weather to get rid of some more things. The weird thing is my pastoral appointment is not permanent because my denomination appoints clergy to an assignment for only one year. So, It is very important to not get rid of something simply because it does not work at this location.
I looked at how you arranged yours and I have appliances that I was concerned about picking up moisture. So, I did not want just open shelving but want accessibility. I love the colors, the sturdiness, and the accessibility. I would probably use two shelving units. One would be for kitchen items, extra dinnerware, and etc. The other unit would be for items that cannot and will not be used in the parsonage and for my plants. I have soil, pots, and loads of other things for my plant babies. I also love the options of the bin sizes. I say filler up…

  7. Ughh! I am gonna get these. These seems very useful and can carry a lot of stuff!
