Vote on the Winner for April’s Cent-Sational Challenge
OK April is coming to a close and all the entries are in.
Let’s put it to a vote!
This is out first EVER Cent-Sational Salvage Challenge and I’ve gotta say I was extremely impressed. Everyone did an amazing job and I can’t wait to see what they do next month. But for now lets pick a winner for April.
For the April Challenge, the challengers had to:
Use some kind of kitchen utensils
Spend no more than $15 and could use anything that they had in their own stash. (Typically we DIYers/Upcyclers have a lot stashed away.)
Purchase their kitchen utensils at Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Have them finished by April 25th, 2015!
Check out below the projects submitted by our April Challengers and Vote HERE.
The winner gets crowned King or Queen of the April “Cent-Sational” Salvage Challenge. It’s a title which comes great responsibility and bragging rights.

April’s featured building materials are kitchen utensils. Upcycling is a passion of mine and I had fun…
Decorative pieces don’t always require a lot of money. With a couple of drawer fronts I took off an old dresser I was able to reuse to make wall art. I removed the drawer fronts. Upon determining the desired width and length of the frame, I used a table saw to cut the ends off…
Ok I don’t know about you, but whenever I see wire hangers I think of the movie Mommie Dearest, and I think why are there wire hangers in my closet LOL. I mean did I learn anything from Ms. Joan Crawford 😒. Hahaha Ok but seriously how many of you take your clothes to the…
While out perusing the aisles of Homegoods one day I came across this box thing in the clearance section. I really don’t know its original intended purpose. But I knew instantly, I had to have it! It would be perfect for a jewelry box to house all of my trinkets and such. This thing was…
