If you are cheap and mildly creative you can totally turn $15 into a “cent-sational salvage”! Join upcyclers nationwide in the monthly challenge to upcycle a common item or building material on a budget. The challenge is a joint venture between DIY Bloggers On Bliss Street, ToolBox Divas and East Coast Upcyclers and is an opportunity for you to meet like minded DIYer’s while promoting your personal and/ or organization’s talents.

“THE FINE PRINT”

You cannot spend more than $15 and you are encouraged to spend less.

Must use the monthly challenge ingredient purchased from a Habitat for Humanity Restore (or whatever store is specified for that month). In addition you may use anything from your personal stash as long as you have not shelled out any money for it specifically for the challenge.

You must make at least 3 social media posts about the challenge using the #ItsCentsational. Suggested posts content: announcing your participation in the challenge and other contestants involved, running tally of money spent and material used, how and where you found your material, inspiration, design strategy, and a little friendly trash talking never hurt anyone.
HOW DO YOU PARTICIPATE?
It’s simple. Simply post your masterpiece to Instagram, Facebook, and or Twitter using the hashtag #ItsCentsational and tag us at @onblissstreet & @toolboxdivas & @EastCoastUpcycl. All submissions should be received by the 25th of each month.
PRIZE
You will be dubbed the monthly “King” or “Queen” of the very 1st Cent-Sational Salvage Challenge. It comes with bragging rights and featured posts on On Bliss Street, ToolBox Divas and East Coast Upcyclers.
